We have a week to discuss the name of the beer….. I have suggested “Auxilier” but would like more ideas from the group before I let Bob Millard (surviving Auxilier) decide on the final name in a weeks time. It needs to be 1 or two short words. Please use this post to discuss and share your ideas for the name. KBO

'Auxilier' or 'The Auxilier' sounds good to me - similar to 'Bombadier'

Some great names, also a superb idea. This was done at the Violette Szabo Museum and I believe did very well. Only other name I could think of, with punch-line "Highworth Ale" - "It does its stuff", kind regards to all, Clive.

How about "AUX ALE" or "PARTIZAN" hic.
Like the label a lot |

If there's 'Partizan' there's got to be
'Resistance Fighter' although both of these are pretty generic, groups in Western Europe tended to be Resistance Fighters while in Eastern Europe and Russia they were generally known as Partizans. Peter D Antill

Post below on behalf of our member Austin Ruddy who cannot use a forum at work.
Hi Tom What a great idea for fundraising. I like the name Auxilier, but how about a slightly more mischievious name of 'Scallywag'? Hope to meet you in July Regards Austin KBO

Auxiliary Ale seems to scan a little better than Auxilier but either way a neat idea,

Hello Tom,
My preference for the name of the beer would be 'AUXILIER' as it reflects the true title of the organisation and captures the spirit of the movement. If you're including PARTIZAN could you please spell the word correctly - it is PARTISAN. Regards, Bill |
